New Treatment for Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence is not a topic that should be taken lightly. it is not only an inconvenient condition, but it can also be an extremely embarrasing one, often stripping many women of their self-confidence. Many women who suffer from symptoms of urinary incontinence simply write it off as just part of the normal aging process and fail to seek treatment. And although urinary incontinence can develop due to age, it is not a condition you have to live with. It is a highly treatable condition. We now offer intimate female rejuvenation to help reduce symptoms of urinary incontinence and help women restore their confidence.

What causes urinary incontinence? Urinary incontinence is the unexpected leakage of urine, andit can occur at the most inopportune times. Have you ever laughed so hard that you wet your pants? How about leaked a little with a sneeze? This is urinary incontinence. It occurs due to vaginal laxity or looseness in the vagina. Multiple childbirths, age and hormone changes can result in poor vaginal tautness due to a decrease in collagen and elastin production. The vaginal tissue layers are made up of collagen and elastin, and following childbirth, the vaginal tissue can become stretched and weakened causing the tisuue to lose its shape. With age and hormonal changes, the production of these necessary proteins is drastically reduced wthich results in loose, lax tissues. The bladder is supported by the front part of the vaginal wall. It provides protection from unnecessary pressure being placed on it. When the vatinal tissue loses structure, the bladder loses its much-needed protection. This leaves the bladder susceptible to even the slightest bit of pressure such as that from a sneeze. For women having moderate to severe symptoms, simple outpatient surgery may be the best option. Fortunately, for those with mild to moderate symptoms there are couple of nonsurgical treatment modalities available. First is electrical stimulation therapy (InTone) which involves a device that helps you to exercise your muscles surrounding the vagina. The other is a new intimate female rejuvenation system called Viveve which requires only one nonsurgical treatment to achieve full results. It is completely painless and there is no down time at all.
