Mai Tran, MD, x 119
Dr. Tran graduated from a 4-year combined MD/MPH program from the University of Miami. In addition to her dual degree, she was a member of the Medical Reserve Corps and carried out initiatives locally and internationally to help disadvantaged women with regards to sexually transmitted infections and cervical cancer screening. Post-graduation, Dr. Tran did her residency at the University of California San Francisco, Fresno where she treated patients at a large tertiary care hospital that is a Level 1 Trauma Center and has a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to fulfill her passion in assisting patients with high-risk conditions.
Dr. Tran’s passion for obstetrics and gynecology led her to complete projects related to preterm delivery, long-acting contraceptives, and infertility, while simultaneously presenting research at local and national conferences. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist and American Society of Reproductive Medicine were recipients of Dr. Tran’s research.
Dr. Tran enjoys all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, including minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, high-risk pregnancies, reproductive endocrinology, contraception, pelvic organ prolapse, cervical cancer screening, among many others.
On her spare time, Dr. Tran enjoys traveling to learn about new cultures and maintaining an active lifestyle by hiking and running. Additionally, her family has relocated to Washington with her, so she looks forward to spending quality time with them.
